Hey, visiting New Braunfels and looking for a shoot this Sat Apr 2). Any ideas?

What? you dont want to do the outlet malls and touristy things like the Inner Space Cavern or the Snake Farm?

While we would love to see you at the Fort, I think you probably wouldn't want to drive that far. Your nearest shoots would be in San Antonio. These two list the first Saturday. This is assuming the clubs page info is up to date.

I know, but some shy away from a 3 hour drive. Even if it is spring time and he'd be coming across some of the prettiest scenery he's like to see in a while.

A three hour drive in Texas is just a little ways down the road.

If you want a little shorter drive to a scenic Western town set with great Bar BQ nearby, you might look at the Plum Creek Carriage and Shooting Society, which has their monthly match at Agarita Ranch. I love Fort Parker and the people there, but Lockhart is a little closer, the people at Agarita Ranch are great, and the town does have that famous bar bq. Here is a link to their website: My link

While Lockhart TX does bill itself, and rightly so, as the BBQ capital of Texas, you won't have to leave the range for a great lunch.

PCCSS match director Delta Raider and his wife Kitchen Kate put on a great spread after the shootin's over.

Hope you come down and shoot with us in the morning.

I second Dragon Hill Dave. Fort Parker's great and if you drive there, you'll love it. Otherwise try Plum Creek near Lockhart. One more reason for Lockhart - you can visit the world famous Texas Hatters (open Saturday til 5p I think but check it). They've made hats for everyone from Stevie Ray Vaughn to Ronald Reagan and are in Lockhart maybe six miles from the range.

I have to add that Plum Creek is a good place to shoot. Delta Raider, Boon Doggle and DHD are some good cowboys to ride the range with for sure. There's no wrong answer here for sure
