Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
Ain't it gratifyin' to see younger folk display respect for their elders? Sometimes it takes a mite o' persuasion... R-E-S-P-E-C-T~!

RHL
Great scene. I finished watching all of the Lonesome Dove series last night. I have to say that they are the best series that I've seen, Lonesome Dove, Return To Lonesome Dove, and Streets of Laredo. I hear that there are prequels and spin offs, I'm sure that I'll see them in time. Back to the message of the thread. It is refreshing to see younger folks with respect, though they are few & far between.
Tascosa, SASS# 24838
One of my favorite scenes from Lonesome Dove! But I have seen youngsters that are respectful, holding the door for me and when I say thanks, they reply with "'welcome sir'.... It's not a rareity in Amarillo for that to happen. Personally I think the kids today have a lot to deal with that I didn't have. But I don't think respect is dying out in our younger generation. It's just the jerks that we seem to remember more. Just my not so humble opinion, Tascosa
