Hope you get your guns back or at least a good insurance settlement. It is stories like this that made me break down and buy a good safe - at least I hope it is good.

Thanks for the kind words...Get a better safe, I had a reenforced closet, solid core door, long dead bolt, they used my tools to break the closet open...now we have an alarm system...sheriff department is working with us...had State Farm and NRA insurance could use more but they are paying...the perps knew when and where to go, wore gloves did not vandalize...probably knew us, came in through the upstairs bathroom window (not sure if they had a silver spoon)...what a wake up call

Thanks,

First Thanks again for the kind words and thoughts.

As you can expect no word on the guns...

Got an alarm system, bought a real nice safe (if you have not bought one or need more room check out Tractor Supply they had good prices and a fair selelction).

Had an added rider to our home owners--they paid $5k on what would have been $11k replacement, I am a NRA Lifer--the standard insurance pays $2500 maxium above your home owners, they paid $1577. Total $6577.00 for $11k worth of guns.

To replace our Uberti .45's a pard suggested contacting Longhunter about some SASS Vaqueros, and this so far has been the only bright spot in this whole mess, well to make a long story short, we received four of the slickest single actions I have ever handled in 54 years of shooting (Dad started me early, Thanks Dad!) and a plus was that by ordering two pair at once ALL 4 pistols are consecutive serial numbers.

So the up shot is you do NOT have enough insurance or protection, I am in the process of increasing the firearms riders and will try to keep the insurance up with the gun purchases...

In the mean time: GO GRIZZLES!

Great Job Inventorying your firearms serial#'s, this increases your odds of recovery 10 fold. I hope they catch them, nothing worse in the world than a thief!
