crooked jake,4371 Posted March 21, 2011 Share Posted March 21, 2011 Say your rifle is on a table ..........should be 10 shots.... but shooter shoots 9 and sets rifle back on the table pulls a pistol while still at the table but doesn't cock it.....realizes mistake and sets pistol uncocked on the table .....picks up rifle and shoots last shot ,sets rifle back on the table ...........then picks the pistol up to continue the stage.. Is that ok to do???????........... or is a penalty already earned and just better to forget the rifle and carry on with the stage ?...........or does the pistol have to be reholstered to keep from getting penalty ? thanks in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A 10 second minor safety penalty will be assessed if the firearm is not cleared or opened.This condition may be corrected prior to the next round being fired. SHB p.17 The revolver would be considered in a condition that is "...safe to leave the shooter's hand" whether it is placed on the table or holstered while the last round of the rifle is shot.
