Uberti Stallions

Dead River Den, SASS#915

Does anyone know how to tell which generation uberti stallions are, VTI used to have a description on thier site but I couldnt find it anymore (the description not the site), I believe they are differentiated by the way the firing pin is retained but am not sure which method belongs to which generation.

Any knowledgeable help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

DRD

I'm just going by memory on Cimarron Lightning and P-Jr, which is the same frame. The earliest I know of had a setscrew, visible by opening the loading gate, that secured the firing pin bushing. Next was a threaded bushing that needed a split screwdriver inserted through the barrel to remove from the front. Then a similar bushing that was removed by a similar tool from the rear (a regular screwdriver could work, too, I think). The firing pins changed with these bushings as well, and are not all interchangeable. There were at least two types of firing pins, maybe three. That's all I know, hope it helps.
