Awful Close Posted March 18, 2011 Share Posted March 18, 2011 I can't get the forearm off the action slide. The action slide/forearm is off the gun. I've got the official "model 12 / 97 action slide sleeve screw cap tool" that I've used successfully on 97's all the time. I kinda remember reading something years ago about a special tool that was needed for the model 25. This nut is on there like it was welded in place. I want to remove the forearm wood to refinish it.
