Rio Bigg, SASS #29095
I bought one of these fixed-sight .22 revolvers for my daughter who wants to shoot wrangler this year. We already have one single six, so this will be her second revolver. Got it out on Saturday for some plinking and it was doing just fine. Then after five or six cylinders full (so much fun shooting .22 that it's easy to lose count), it won't allow the cylinder to turn for unloading/reloading. The bolt drops down just fine as your cocking the hammer. Then, just before click #2, it comes part way back up. Open the loading gate and start to rotate the cylinder and it comes up a bit farther and locks the cylinder. I can only rotate it by holding the hammer just short of the click #2 position. Is something just loose? It seems odd to me that it worked fine for a while and then quit.
Ethan Cord
I suggest you find another Single Six for your daughter. The Rough Rider is aptly named with emphasis on "Rough" in my experiance with two of them. If you want to keep it going for competitive shooting you will spend a lot dollars gunsmithing.
