Chantry
I was checking out MagTech's website and noticed that they were offering 9.1 gauge brass shotgun shells. I am not familiar with that gauge and a quick search didn't have any results. Is 9.1 gauge for industrial applications or is it the technically accurate measurement of a 10 gauge shell? Captain Woodrow Cahill, SASS # 54363
Howdy Chantry - the only reference I could find that mentioned a 9 gauge is here => http://www.deltagearinc.com/ShotgunFacts.htm It's an odd one, being just about halfway between an 8 and a 10 gauge. Buck Rio, SASS #60154
There are heavy industrial guns that are used to shoot the clinkers from the inside of boiilers. I believe that is what the 9.1 gauge is for. It is an odd size so that the shells can't be used in conventional shotguns.
