Ken K
Howdy Pards; Well been laid off at work for about 4 months now, so I was thinking of selling a few things. I thought about thinning out the gun heard a bit, so I went and opened my gun cabinets today, thinking I would put a few on here in the classified!!!! Well that didn't work out at all!!! There isn't a gun in there I would part with right now. Just have to give up something else instead. Ever have that problem??? KK
Grizzly Dave
I've only ever sold three of my own guns... A Glock that I'd bought from my brother cuz he was on hard times, noever cared much for Glocks, sold it a few years later. Sold a wheelgun and shotgun to get my cowboy leather. I use the leather way more than I ever used wither of them. Selling toys to buy other toys is one thing, selling toys to pay bills just sucks rocks. Chickasaw Bill SASS #70001
KK It relly stinks to have to let them go to pay bills . I have had to do it a couple of times . Most think there is a black hole in the gun safe , if it goes in it never comes back out . CB
Deacon Will
In the past month, I have had 3 friends give me lists of guns they want to sell because they are 'cash poor'. It's a buyer's market right now. All three collections have well over a dozen guns for sale.... one has over 100 and most have not been fired. Realestate is kinda the same. It's a buyer's market. KK Never had the laid off problem, but sure have had the selling guns problem. Was an FFL in a past life - bought a lot of guns that I sold later - only a few I missed since then. Awful lot of guns that I kick myself in the butt for not having bought - tastes change . . . . I'm down to 4 Colts, 3 Rugers, a few other square guns, 3 or 4 rifles and a shotgun. Need another shorgun, and maybe another .22 plincker . . . What I really no kidding need is time to enjoy all the guns I have . . not more guns, not more ammo - TIME to enjoy what I got! Every gun I ever let go of was because it wasn't the shooter I wanted - not accurate enough, not reliable enough, not 'whatever' enough - so I don't miss the one's I got rid of . . . . . Sure do like the ones that survived the winnowing process! Shadow Catcher
Marshal Dan Troop 70448
Since November I've sold MP40, 4 Rugers, 2 SXS, 1 Ruger .22, and 1 carbine. regret every sale, except for the carbine and MP40, lost money on every sale. But get to buy new toys. MT
Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life
Most of the guns that I have sold were CAS stuff I bought early on and ended up not really liking them. I went thru 8 pairs of revs, only a couple of rifles and about 6 or 8 shotguns before I settled on what I now shoot. I have 4 NMVs from LongHunter, 2 Johnny Meadows SKBs and a pair of 73s, all of them are great....can't say the same for some of the others. I have traded off a couple of other guns that I wish i had back...A Browning Superposed that just didn't fit me and a S & W K22 that a friend just had to have. Sold it 40 years ago with the understanding that I get it back if he decides to sell it. Don't think I'll ever get it back
Ken K
Howdy; It seems that gun prices up here are high..if'n you are buyin' but 1/2 if'n you are sellin' Some shops don't even want CAS guns either. I figured I would make a list and put on here first in case there are any pards a lookin'. KK
Rye Miles #13621
Every time I pull out a gun that I think I wanna sell, I wind up lokking at it, fondling it and thinkin, NAW, this gun is too cool to let go!
