Goody, SASS #26190
Yes, the springs will fit. Removed due to my ignorance.
Abilene Slim SASS 81783
Adding on, be sure your screwdrivers are the ground tip variety and fit the screw snugly. Many a screw has been buggered up with run of the mill Craftsman & Stanley etc.
red coneston 60384
The sideplates on a Henry come off differently than a 66, remove the lever screw and slide them off up or down. They are dove tailed on both ends.
stepnmud#33546
then order these from VTI, part no. 124 after damaging the original screws. If never been apart before, might use a hand held impact tool to remove and/or loosen the original screws. http://www.vtigunparts.com/store/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=37&cat=Uberti+1860+Henry impact tool from Harbor Freight; http://www.harborfreight.com/impact-screwdriver-set-with-case-37530.html

Driftwood Johnson, SASS #38283
Howdy After you have removed the lever screw, see if the plates want to slide up or down. They are usually a tight fit, but on some guns they are more likely to slide up, on other guns they are more likely to slide down. You have to try to see which way yours want to slide. Use a brass drift and a small hammer to slide the plates. Apply the drift to the edge of the plate and tap lightly. The plate should begin to slide one way or the other. Be very careful when handling the plates. The edges that fit into the dovetails are razor sharp. Ask me how I know.
