Pulp, SASS#28319
I came across this: http://oklahombres.org/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2876036794/m/64310934311 by accident tonight. Very interesting about life in SE OK right after statehood. Millerton is 5 miles east of where I live. The Valliant jail mentioned is still standing, on the south side of highway 70. We used to play there as kids. It was still open for business then, but I don't remember anyone ever being held there.

I read at that site pretty often but hadn't picked up on that story. I keep telling people that cowboys, outlaws, and the wild west didn't necessarily end in 1900 but guess it falls on deaf ears. If I lived that close, would do more research and get the metal detector out.
