Marshal Dan Troop 70448
Watched "Frontier Marshal" with Randolph Scott as Wyatt Earp last night. This is one movie that got it all wrong, surprised that Scott would star in something so inaccurate. Now we all know, Hollywood is wrong many times, but this flick was way off base. Doc Holliday was called Doc Halliday, not a dentist, but physician. Doc was killed outside saloon as Earp was called to come to the OK Corral if he wanted revenge. Wyatt walked to the OK Corral alone, and took the whole gang on single handed. Earlier in the picture Doc describes his Colt pistol as one from Ned Buntline and he had the barrel cut down. Wonder how many movie goers though afterwards this was historical accurate? MT
Tex Jones, SASS 2263
Maybe a bit less realistic than My Darling Clementine. Just Hollywood.

MT This was a very early Earp movie, if not the first one.Not as much was known about Wyatt then, as we know (or think we know today.)Scott was just folowing the script as was given to him. That was his job, and he did it well.
