I want to wash,clean the canvas, all leather is well oiled, metal is brass. If you have washed or cleaned please share your experience,thanks,Lee Link to post Share on other sites

I would have grabbed a board, scrub brush and bucket of hot soapy water (ivory liquid or woolite) Your idea is much better and apparently proven effective and non harmful.
