FFL Question

Looking for the real answer.... not opinions

I have a Stoeger shotgun with a cracked receiver and it's out of service permanently.

I've already sold the barrels and forend here, and I'll sell the shortened stock here too.

Do I need to ship the broken receiver through or to an FFL (for a buyer) or can I ship it directly to the buyer.

He wants it for parts.

Thanks pards.

Your receiver should be given to an ffl-licensed gunsmith for destruction. That way, you are never 'attached' to its future use.

If you can't find someone locally to do it for free, you can send it to me when I get home in a few weeks and I'll take care of it for you.

Even if the receiver does not have a serial number (made before 1968 by some manufacturers) it is still a gun.
