Miss Cubbie Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 If I didn't already have a pair of my own.... these would've just moved over to my side of the safe!!! Miss Cubbie

Chas B. Wolfson, SASS #11104 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Mad Max.....Sorry, the price is $800 (plus shipping) FIRM. Meet my price and they CAN be yours! Gunstock Hey Gunstock, this is the same cowboy who after posting a pair of Rugers for sale, received advice from some very good friends and raised the listed price $300.00. Amazingly, he didn't see any harm or foul in doing so. Maybe you should extend the same courtesy to him since he made such a generous offer for your shooters. I am sure that he wouldn't think you were doing anything wrong either. Regards, Chas B. Wolfson
Marshal Max Henry Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Hey Gunstock, this is the same cowboy who after posting a pair of Rugers for sale, received advice from some very good friends and raised the listed price $300.00. Amazingly, he didn't see any harm or foul in doing so. Maybe you should extend the same courtesy to him since he made such a generous offer for your shooters. I am sure that he wouldn't think you were doing anything wrong either. Regards, Chas B. Wolfson I see you are the kind of Cowboy that would have no problem taken advantage of a greenhorn. Thats not very "cowboy" now is it. I would have been giving them away at that price for what i had. In lieu of what i just said , no one enquired so its not like i screwed anyine or renigged on a deal. So if i were you i would take heed to that old saying "Ifn you aint got nothin nice to say, Dont say anything" Much Obliged, M.Max.Henry
Slowhand Bob, 24229 Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I consider your price good and do not understand the lack of movement. A short barl .44cal with Navy size grips is about ideal for an Open Top for many???? My guess is that the economy is just starting to kick in seriously on the WIRE Classifieds, I know I am gun pore!
Gunstock Smith Posted February 20, 2011 Author Posted February 20, 2011 I agree. I've had a couple of trades offered, but no one seems to be spending much cash right now. Gunstock
Black Tooth Zach Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I wish I had the $$$ for these... Maybe I'll win the lottery tonight.
Chickahominy Charlie Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I paid pretty much the same price for mine (Taylor's 71/72 Open Top in 4 3/4" octagon barrel in .38 special) a couple of months ago, so I think your price is in the right neighborhood. I'm also surprised to see no one snatch these up. It's just got to be the economy and everyone's "Christmas poor" or something. These are nice pistols. I know I love mine. So there....ya gotta another bump ta boot.
murf Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Gunstock smith, sent you a PM on the open tops for sale. Thank you sir, murf
Miss Cubbie Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 These beauties are still for sale.... Miss Cubbie
Rube Burrows Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I know a lot of folks here dont put pics up but pics really do help sell things. I want a pair of these bad but recently purchased a few guns and just cant swing them right now. Good luck with your sale. I am sure they are beauties.
Grizzly Dave Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Pics of Miss Cubbie modeling them would be even better Wish I had the cash, I'd love to have a pair of open tops.
Gunstock Smith Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Dave......Miss Cubbie says "No Dice""!! Nice try, anyway. LOL!! Gunstock
Tinker OBrien Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Mr. Smith, Would you consider breaking up the pair ? I'd take one at $400. Maybe if somebody wants the other one, your problem would be solved. Thanks, Tinker O.
Gunstock Smith Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 Tinker, Thanks for the offer, but I don't want to break up the pair to sell. Gunstock
Tinker OBrien Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Dear Mr. Smith: I understand your reluctance to break up the pair. Do you still have the boxes and paperwork? ( I'm trying to talk myself into buying guns I dont need with money I probably shouldnt spend.) Thanks for your patience, Tinker O.
Gunstock Smith Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 I have the boxes and paperwork. The tags are still on the triggerguards. Send me your email address and I'll send a picture. Gunstock krucktx1100@cs.com
Tinker OBrien Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I'm a goner. Looks like the only thing that'll save my scruffy hide is a pair of new six guns. I give up. I'll take'm. Still available. Tinker O. PM sent
Gunstock Smith Posted March 9, 2011 Author Posted March 9, 2011 Tinker, Sent you an email with address info. Gunstock
