Snakebite
I know, price is relative. I've had the high dollar sights, and the high dollar guns too. Been there, done that. Now I have a H&R rifle with 38-55 and 45-70 barrels. I purchased a inexpensive Mid Range sight, but it's just not tall enough to do what I want. So... before I order another one, this time the tall one for Long Range, I thougth that I would throw it out here on the wire first and see what comes up. Now remember.... if it ain't cheap, don't bother. I wouldn't put a Pearl Necklace on a Hog , and I won't put a High Dollar sight on one of these guns. (At least not yet !) Cpt Dan Blodgett, SASS #75655
There are those who claim a 98 krag sight will do a good job. Buffalo Arms has a smith sight. How long range is long range for you???
Goody, SASS #26190
I think these are some good deals. Maybe you will, too. http://www.jeffsoutfitters.com/store.aspx?panel=1&categoryid=

Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
Doug, I suspect you're probably looking for a "tang" type sight, but just so you'll have an idea what that Krag sight looks like on the Buffalo Classic or H&R, here ya go: Krag/Buffalo Classic Elevation and windage adjustment forever!
