I WAS WATCHIN' THE 3 STOOGES...

Recommended Posts

Three stooges = 3 of America's best philosophers....

But there were more than 3 , 4 there were at least 5 stooges not all at once.

Actually, there were 6, 3 of them real life brothers -- Moe, Shemp and Curly Howard. The original Stooges in Vaudeville were Moe, Shemp and Larry Fine. Shemp left to pursue movies where he can be seen in bit parts such as "Buck Privates" with Abbott & Costello. Curly filled his spot, but suffered a debilitating stroke in 1946, resulting in Shemp's return. Shemp died in 1952 and was replaced by Joe Besser. Later, the act broke up and was reformed a few years later with Joe DeRita, a.k.a Curly-Joe.

Whew, that's too much trivia for one morning!

Anyway, you can tell I'm a big fan of theirs. As a kid I watched them on channel 11, a local after-school kiddie show in St. Louis in the early '60s.

Woo woo! :)
