As long as it is Rocky Meadows doin the cuttin!

And also the crescent moon on the outhouse was never really a crescent moon but rather a cut out to put your hand through to open the door as hardware was very exspensive then,On the inside a small linnen would cover that cut out for privacy. As hardware became more available the crescent shape stayed and moved a little higher to let small amounts of light in especialy on a full moon,it was not advisable to carry a lantern inside with you and the outhouse was used more during daylight hours while outside, most people had chamber pots inside the home and they would later be emptied the next day in the outhouse,it was too scary or cold to visit the moon at night.

There you have it a lesson in history, now you know the rest of the story :)

Rocky Meadows? I dunno. She gave MJ Spencer a haircut at CAC that would have looked good on a Mohawk Brave.

I really think it was a charity thing and he was doing it for a donation.

Our small local paper only comes out once a week. Without that nice thick CC I'd be short on fire staring material. I keep em stacked by the fireplace.

Same here. It's called "being resourceful." :)

Well heck deja, that means we can expect articles on devil worship, Alian abduction, and Witchcraft, not to mention Pirate stories and porn in future issues.

I ain't got no C.C yet, so can't comment on the article, but have a casual interested in whatever a period correct hair cut might be. Would the typical pioneer bowl cut be right fer kids? Would a three month traildrive be cause enought for cookie to practice scissor cutting on a brave soul. Or we just all nowadays run to Slick Willie's Saloon to meet for a hair appointment? :) Some of the more recent western flick's seem to have a more typical type hair style from the late 1800's.

Maybe just me. :D

Wouldnt be suprised if the 'printed and mailed' Chronicle will be suspended in the near future and only 'online' version available! Advertisements are down I think due to the economy and the rates charged, they went up not long ago. Look in the back where there used to be 4 pages of the business card sized ads... maybe 2 1/2 pages anymore! They are hurting for ads and articles to print. Hence, 'rebuilding an old Airstream', hair cutting, cooking, ect. ect.!!

.... could you start with the barn re-shinglin' first please ? .....

........... I've got a leaky roof ....

And by the time the waters recede far enough for you to get to the barn, the article ought to be ready for print. ;)

Seriously, the press says it's pretty bad over your way and I'm glad that you and yours are doin' well enough for you to be in the Saloon. I figger if the American press that's 5,000 miles away says it's bad, it's gotta be down right rough at the moment.

Well, at least it's a change. It could be a "gun test" of a Cimmaron '73. Next month a Navy Arms '73. Then a Taylor's '73. Then a Cabelas '73. Followed closely by a test of a Cimarron SAA clone. Then a Navy Arms clone. Then a Taylor's clone. Then an EMF clone. Then a Pietta clone.:blink:

There's only so much you can write about, and it's hard to keep things fresh after 25 years or so.

Okay...

See that's WHY I love the SALOON(ACS) ...

You have a concern, and even though it looks valid to you...

When you ask here, you get Great counsel!

NOW I''m on the bandwagon! :FlagAm:

I want to see articles on Cowboy Action shoe shining, dog washing, how to re-shingle

your barn, and most of all, disassembling and short stroking a blender! :)

You don't short stroke your blender. You bore & stroke or put a 572 on it so it will turn up faster and make more drinks. Just ask

Capt. Baylor about the red heads drinks.
