Ironhorse Phil, SASS #47383
There's a local Veterans group (63/445 Norton Veterans Group) that is running out of time trying to save a portion of this old bird. C-141 Starlifter, Tail #64-0614 The group of aging MAC personnel after a two year old race with time, has been given an ultimatum. Story Personally I wasn't in the Air Force, but rather a Army Airborne demolition unit. All 5 of my first training jumps were from the 141, and a few of my others. I took part in 3 of the Reforger operations during the early 70's where the 63rd took part though most of my jumps were from 130's and Huey's I'd hate to see this group loose this memorial of an old bird to the scrapers. Any donations would be tax deductible I believe under 501©(3). 63/445 Business Status You can contact Ed Jeffries direct at; eajeffries909@aol.com or (909) 889-1733 Phil
