Slowhand Bob, 24229
I have been watching Cabellas for a while now to see if the SS deluxe Remingtons would come back but to no avail. Stainless with the short barl and checkered grips made for a pretty nice looking package. Since before Christmas I have been watching for the Remington spare cylinders to go on sale and it just looks like their whole bp listing has shrunk since Christmas? I had been holding off on several small items in hopes that the cylinders wouldgo back on sale but now I fear the small items may disappear! Sergeant Smokepole #29248L
Their inventory depends on demand. Since BP is a niche (real BP, not subs) they will cater to what brings in the most profit.
Come On Christmas
Their inventory depends on demand. Since BP is a niche (real BP, not subs) they will cater to what brings in the most profit. I dunno that they added this pistol, but I likes it http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting/Black-Powder/Pistols|/pc/104792580/c/104701680/sc/104503680/Pietta-Dance-and-Brothers-44-Caliber-Revolver/1167501.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fshooting-black-powder-pistols%2F_%2FN-1100201%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104503680%3FWTz_l%3DSBC%253BMMcat104792580%253Bcat104701680&WTz_l=SBC%3BMMcat104792580%3Bcat104701680%3Bcat104503680 This one is new and a pretty good price on sail! http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting/Black-Powder/Pistols|/pc/104792580/c/104701680/sc/104503680/Pietta-Starr-SA-44-Caliber-Revolver/1168962.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fshooting-black-powder-pistols%2F_%2FN-1100201%2FNo-48%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104503680%3FWTz_l%3DSBC%253BMMcat104792580%253Bcat104701680%26WTz_stype%3DGNP&WTz_l=SBC%3BMMcat104792580%3Bcat104701680%3Bcat104503680 Shameless, who has . . . needs! Smithy
I too have been looking for the short barreled Remington's and fear that they won't be coming any time soon. I have bobbed several Ruger Old Armies in my past and thought to do that with the 7 1/2" Remington's however there is a cost factor involved in so doing that is evened out with the cost of a ROA but seems excessive when applied to the cost of a Cabela's Remington. That and it's a lot of work to complete. Smithy.
Captain Woodrow Cahill, SASS # 54363
Shameless - I gotta agree. The Starr definitely has it for uniqueness and style points. Perfect choice if you're going to shoot in the Unforgiven category.
