Now that Cowboys and Indian store no longer handles competition parts for the IACs, where can they be found?

C&I had their own line of right and left extractors and so forth at one time.

I have searched to no avail to even find the "el-cheapo" replacement stuff.

If the hook part of your left extractor is still good, you can fix it by cutting off most of the tail. Then a hole is drilled into the bolt, a coil spring is inserted, the modified extractor is put back in and you are good to go. Most 97 expert gunsmiths are familiar with this procedure.

It is explained in the American Gunsmith video on the 97.

I'm kinda confused; Is it a TTN or an IAC, can't be both.

That's part of my question, I guess Doc.

The IAC screws are metric.

But I've been told that the TTN scres are US thread.

I don't want to order any screws from Numrich for an IAC, intil I find out, because all of their parts are listed as TTN parts.

I'm even sterting to confuse myself
