Utah Bob #35998
New belief symbols available For information only. I do not wish to start a discussion on religion, that's for sure. I was just kind of amazed at the variety.

Captain Lee Bishop
What no Druid? Actually had an E6 who stated that was his religion.I had a couple of my people try that very thing as well on their dog tags just to be funny. When I was getting new tags before a JRTC rotation I asked if they could put that on my tags for the heck of it. They couldn’t unless it was my official designation on the paperwork (which it wasn’t). I dealt with “no religious preference” during my service and felt just fine with it. If I’d gotten schwacked in the service, I guess they’d have put a simple cross on mine even though I’m not a religious person at all. I’d have been fine with it whatever they put. I’d have been dead and I’m sure therefore not offended either way.But as for all these symbols, many represent religions which are very popular and have been around a very long time, so I think it’s only fair they’re represented. It’s easy to say you’re fine with the previous symbol choices when they apply to you.

Utah Bob #35998
Here's a set of dogtags that indicate I'm Moslem. That's the way it was spelled back in the day. I lost my tags on an ftx in 69 and went to get replacements. The clerk said ZI couldn't put Protestant on them because it wasn't an organized religion. He hesitated a bit when I said, "Put Moslem on them then!", but he did it. I was gonna terll him my blood typoe was D but I thought that might come back to bite me in the butt. pic
