Trigger Mike
My dad gave me one of those repro fake 1873 rifles. It may be one of those atlanta cuttlery. The lever works only part of the time. It is hard even for me most of the time. Is there a way to smooth it out?

Grizzly Dave
OK, since you've not got any replies, exactly what to you mean by "fake repro 73?" Is it a functioning firearm? Is there any manufacturers marks or identification? What do you mean by the lever works only part of the time? Not trying to be a smart ass, just not enough info in your post to provide any useful info. Grizz
Chickasaw Bill SASS #70001
Grizz I think it is a display gun , non funcitioning copy . You might take off the side plates and lube the links like a real one ,use white lithium grease . I do not know if it will help but it can not hurt . Trigger Mike
it is a display gun. the barrell is plugged and not the right size for anything anyway I am sure. The lever and hammer and trigger work like a real one. It does have screws so I will try grease like you said. I thought it might be good for teaching children
