Thinning the Herd

Suncoast

Recommended Posts

I have been gradually upgrading my SASS weapons and the safe is getting a bit crowded I will give detailed descriptions of the condition of each item but I will be happy to answer any questions I fail to cover

Uberti 1873:

.357 caliber

This is a 24", bone stock gun that has only been polished. No actual action work has been done. That said, the action is as nice as I have seen on a gun that has not been altered. The rifle is pretty much as new. There is one small mark on the loading gate ( what a surprise lol) Other than that it is pretty much flawless. It comes with the original box

Rossi 1892:

357 caliber

This is a 24" stainless model. My local smith did a very nice job of smoothing this one and it shoots well. Definitely prefers to eat the .357 shells and has indigestion on .38's. Not an uncommon statement on this model. Again, it is pretty much as new. Rossi had to replace the stock soon after purchase so there aren't even any cart dings. This one comes in the factory box as well

Uberti 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine

.38 caliber

An older 19" barrel Uberti imported by Navy Arms. Very nice condition and a smooth shooter. Someone oil finished the stock and forearm sometime during it's lifetime and they did a great job. I replaced the crappy rear site with a nice buckhorn which really improved the sight picture. The lever safety was removed due to the fact that it was stiff as heck but I have it and it will be sent with the gun

EAA Bounty Hunters Consecutive Pair

.357 Caliber

This is a consecutively numbered pair with 4.5" barrels. I bought them as backups but decided that I preferred to have another New Vaquero instead. They are in near perfect condition and I replaced the stock "truck" springs with Wolf springs. The original springs will be included. They will come with the original boxes as well.

Your FFL will have to accept shipments from a non-FFL

I will be happy to answer any questions the descriptions and pics don't answer. Questions should be sent to

Uberti 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine

What lever safety?

The little flat headed bolt that you turned 1/4 to lock the lever down? Or it had a '73 lever type safety?

AND

Do you happen to know Korupt Karl? He's down in your state and I might be able to work a deal with him and save y'all the shipping cost.

This was built with a 73 type lever safety. I did some research and apparently a lot of the older ones (70's and early 80's) were built with that feature. My smith says he has seen stock examples that were a lot closer to a 73 inside then a 66. The nice thing is that the fit and finish are definitely better.

I have heard the name Korupt Karl but I don't know him personally. I am in Bradenton, about 45 minutes south of Tampa if that helps.
