This was my brothers watch when he was in air force 1959_1962.24hr clock with black face on back is stamped an_5740,stock no.8taa_966000_42,mfr,no33106,contract bomber, made by hamilton watch

If your brother gave it to you .... Priceless

If his widow gave it to you ..... Beyond priceless

If you borrowed it and never gave it back ... It's worth nothing. Give it back.

Sounds like what you have is a Hamilton 4992B. They are a 22 jewell movement with sweep second

hand and a hack feature(watch stops when the stem is pulled out and starts when pushed in).

Average valu in running condition is $250.00, but depends on condition. Hope this helps.

I've got my father's watch. He was a Navigator on a B-29 in WW II. It's a 22 jewel Hamilton. Priceless.
