Possum Skinner, SASS#60697 Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Usually use Clays. I like Clays. It's great. Ran out of shotgun powder a while back. Clays was not readily available. Ordered some Winlite. Wasn't sure I'd like it, so at the same time I ordered a couple of pounds of E³ to try. (Winlite's great by the way.) I didn't want 1200 fps loads (which is their minimum recommended loading for 7/8 oz.) so went down a couple of grains. Tried them today. They worked great, even with freezing temps. Low recoil. About as clean as Clays. Maybe a little bigger flecks of residue than Clays, but fewer. Loading density is very close to the same as Clays. In fact, I loaded the same volume. Conclusion: This powder works very well for CAS. As does Clays and Winlite. Possum
