Guest Woody Canton
I have seen an option to insert a 22 cal. slide in addopter for Sharp's 45/70. Anybody out there with some experience.

Guest Woody Canton
That is the site offering the insert. No reviews on the product site. Maybe too knew yet. Looks like a good way to work on the flinch.
Doc Windshadow
I have an insert in .22rf for my 1885 BPCR in 45-90 and it works fine as a plinker at 50 yards when I can not get to the range be sure you remove it and clean the bore well at the point where the insert ends about 1/2 down the barrel as you will get a bunch of hard residue build up there if you do not I am told ( I have been most careful about this) it is fun to use and I got it as a gift not sure I would have spent money on it though as I have Ballard SS hook butt plate etc offhand .22 rimfire which is of course much more accurate but for learning the trigger feel on the 1885 when I first got it it saved me a bunch of $$ In ammo but that is its only real value I think practice trigger control that is Cheers Windy
Yellowhouse Sam # 25171
Here ya go and you can do a search for similar threads on Crosno liners. Lee Shaver may still make one...don't know. Some folks do pretty well with them at matches....read on: Crosno
Cimarron Red, SASS 18460
I've had one of Dave Crossno's .22 adaptors for more than 6 years, and I'm very happy with it.
