Iron Pony
Going to put another reference manual on the shelf and wonder which one to get? Opinions, suggestions?
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
The 4th edition is out, and will have the latest powders. If you are interested in using the old powders like PB, you might want an older edition. Otherwise, the 4th will be great, listing modern powders and new mold designs that you are likely to find on the shelf. Hint - MidSouth has about the lowest price I saw for it, just over $16 bucks. 4th is authored under Mike Venturino's name, if that makes a difference one way or the other. Good luck, GJ
Iron Pony
Joe thats info I was looking for. Mainly this will be a reference for casting and bp shooting so the old one should do as well as the new. Anyone else want to render a review. John Boy
Going to put another reference manual on the shelf and wonder which one to get? IP, don't waste your money on the 3rd Edition. I have both the 3rd and the 4th. The 4th has so much additional information, including nearly every mold that Lyman makes. Plus in their testing data they have even tested non Lyman mold bullets made by other vendors. They even sprinkled a few black powder loads in their testing results. The 4th Edition is the one to buy!
