Hamby Branch Kid
Scott was born in Virginia and grew up in Charlotte, NC. He is buried here in Elmwood Cemetary, which is uptown (as we say here) at 600 W. 6th Street. Here is a link to an excellent short bio of Scott: Link to Randolph Scott Bio Here is a link to a page with information on his boyhood home in the Dilworth neighborhood of Charlotte. This is a private residence owned by a non-family member Link to Randolph Scott House Page Cheers! Hamby Branch Kid
Guest Hoss Carpenter, SASS Life 7843
Randolf Scott is one of my favorite cowboys. In fact when I was a little boy in the mid to late forties, I liked The Lone Ranger ( on the radio) and RS the best. As The LR had a "The" in front of his name, I decided RS needed one too. So I called him The Randolf Scott for the longest time, until my Mom, who was an English Teacher, made me quit! Western Union with RS and Dean Jagger was one of my favorites , along with Ride the High Country. Hoss (an old buzzard)
