H&R Buffalo Classic in 38-55 plus extras

I have a beauty just collecting dust I Bought two of them a couple years back and sold one last year at this time. I set it up for the kids to shoot long range and they just have no interest.

They like the CAS but I cant drag them out to long range. So I will face the facts and move it.

It is a fine specimen and has a Lee Shaver Mid Range rear sight installed so you get a true Soule type sight at the rear of the gun to give fine adjustment and a much longer sight radius . it is the buffalo Classic with the aperture front sight I have shot it just for load development. Its a tack driver and it preferes the Starline 2.125 length brass. Same as my 1885

It slugs .379 and I have a bunch of .380bullets I bought I will sell of once the rifle is gone.

It is Like new in box plus the add ons

never seen a match and other than an oily rag has not been

out of the safe for 2 years. The Trigger has been worked and breaks @

a crisp 3.5 LBS Every thing is perfect except a small handling mark in the forearm about a 1/4 in long and 1/16 wide, a little rub mark in the wood.

It also includes a H&R Scope base weaver style I put on to help with load

development and a Hammer Extension.

Its all set up and ready to go for your first match I will include a bag of 50

Bullets and I have 6 boxes of 300 more to sell to you or whoever once the rifle sells. I have really grown fond of the Bearcreek Molly Coated Cast Lead

bullets I have gone to them exclusively for CAS and Long Range and they have helped me win the State Match for Long Range Single shot and

bigbore lever the last 2 years in the Smokeless Class IBI

I bought the other Buffalo Classic from Briscoe Darling. A great pard to deal with and a great deal. That Lee Shaver sight makes all the difference. Great shooter with Starline brass, them moly boolits, and IMR 4198.

Thanks for the bump big jake.

I found the post and enjoyed the friendly banter about pride and price. Fact is if you take and add it up the other way

and start with the rifle

Rifle alone I have seen a few used ones go for 300.00

Lee Shaver Midrange Sight 225.00

Shaver custom mount plate 35.00

Install Sight 95.00 The Rear sight is precision milled into the wood and Acraglassed in place to be straight and true is no simple job.

Tigger Job 65.00 made a big improvement

Hammer Extension 15.00

H&R Scope Base 35.00 w/ Frt

Your at 770.00 and add 25.00 shipping = 795.00 plus all the research and running to the gun smith and the waiting for it to get done.

Yes I might be proud but look at the details and it looks like a deal I wish I could have gotten when I bought it .

750.00 shipped to your FFL looks right nice to me.

Thanks for listening

I would consider a 73 winchester clone in 44 mag

or a High wall in 22 LR

BD

I can't fathom why someone hasn't jumped on this deal. 38/55s in H&R aren't made any more, and they are far better shooters than 45/70s(MHO). Depending on how your deals might fall, I could be interested in the bullets. Free bump up again for a heck'fa deal.

BTW, a .22 LR is a Low Wall.

Have a great day all.
