Adirondack Jack, SASS #53440
They gotta go where the money wants em to go. Ho HUM! Thankfully, they make fine revolvers that are built like a Russian tank, so I'm set for this lifetime.

Little Henry
A new ultra compact 9mm. Ho hum. I DO like the new Ruger "Gunsite" .308 bolt action rifle though--reminds me of the old French Foreign Legion MAS, but much better looking.
Doc Fill 'Em 67797
A new ultra compact 9mm. Ho hum. I DO like the new Ruger "Gunsite" .308 bolt action rifle though--reminds me of the old French Foreign Legion MAS, but much better looking. Would be even better if it was a semi-auto. Why a bolt gun that holds 10 rounds?
Marshal TKD, Sass # 36984L
Phhhffff another plastic small 9mm. Boring. I guess the anti 380 crowd is happy now that they have a 9mm.

Ken K
Well no doubt it will be a surprise to all.Don't matter to us Mass. residents. It won't be Mass. Compliant for a year anyway. If it is a limited one we will never see it. But that is not what we are posting on..just had to throw that in.. MY bet would be on a 1911 for 2 reasons. 1-1911-2011 anniversary 2-and the fact that the Wild Bunch exists!!! Unless they ain't paying attention!!! KK Well I was 1/2 right another semi-auto. Just what the world needed, another plastic 9mm Semi-auto ??? I would have settled for a 9mm 1911 GI lookin gun . Where is their heads? I bet it sells though!!! Adirondack Jack, SASS #53440
And "the street" said "Boo!", RGR is down 20 cents today, against a strong market. So much for listening to the "consumer wants" hotline, many of whom were probably bellyaching when they bought the LCP but couldn't find .380 ammo. That is over now, so....... Pancho Peacemaker
They should go ahead and recall it now before they release it. It will save them lots of shipping charges later on. . . . and that Scout Rifle . . . at that price, why not just spend a couple hundred more and get the Springfield M1A Scout rifle. That big ol' magazine needs a semi-auto action attached to it.
Captain Woodrow Cahill, SASS # 54363
Why a bolt gun that holds 10 rounds? It's already been done => the Lee-Enfield starting in 1907.
Seldom Seen #16162
I think Ruger has a winner. It is a American made lower cost competitor to the Taurus 709. Taurus 709 Capacity 7+1 Weight 19 oz. Barrel 3" Length 6"” Height 4" MSRP $483.00 Ruger LC9 Capacity 7+1 Weight 17.10 oz. Barrel 3.12” Length 6” Height 4" MSRP $443.00 I know I will watching the reviews closely. Uno Mas SASS #80082
. Hmmmm Phantom, I might have been too hasty: Michael Bane's Blob states that the LC9 has a mag disconnect and I think I see a witness hole. Those, plus sufficient danegeld, and a year or so of coffee drinking testing, should be enough to allow the pistol to be imported into Kalifornium. My self-absorbed interest has been kicked up slightly. Bane is now in the hospital for eye surgery. Go and wish him well.
DocWard
Would be even better if it was a semi-auto. Why a bolt gun that holds 10 rounds? The Scout Rifle concept was the brain child of Jeff Cooper, so consulting some of his works might yield an answer. My guess would be that as a "general purpose" gun designed to be fit for most situations, he decided to opt for the reliability of a bolt action. It would be nice if Ruger would've made it so it would use an M-14 mag, instead of a proprietary design ($$).
