Uberti 1858 Remington Percussion Cylinders

I have a Uberti 1858 Remington New Army incoming and I'd like to get an extra percussion cylinder or two. Questions:

1. So long as you buy the proper Uberti cylinder, do they normally just drop right in and function properly?

2. What's a good source? About the only place I can find that seems to have them in stock is Taylor's at $60 each.

Thanks,

I own several Pieta and Uberti 1858's. As long as you put Uberti into Uberti you should be able to drop them in and fire them.

The only thing that maybe a problem is the timing, or how the hand rotates the cylinder. The best thing to do is drop it in and cycle the gun. If the cylinder is tight you can use a sharpening stone to take a little off the face of the cylinder to increase the tolerance. Also if you haven't shot a C&B pistol before one of the first things most of us do is change out the nipples to Tresco. Using Tresco Nipples and #10 Remington caps will insure the caps stay on and go off.
