Lone Dog, SASS #20401
Here lately Wolf Bane has been discussing programs on Wednesday night at the range that are being renewed. Cowboys is depressingly never mentioned. Rather he has been hinting it is not to be renewed. Anybody know the skinny? Sad if my favorite show rides over the ridge to be with my favorite magazine, the defunct Shoot.
Chili Pepper Kid, SASS #60463
I hope not!!! My wife just added the Outdoor channel for Christmas. CPK

DocWard
I rarely get to watch the show, and I always fixate on the Elvis persona of the host, but find it enjoyable, regardless. I certainly hope they renew it

Cowboy Rick, SASS #49739L
It's the only show I tune into regularly on the Outdoor chanel. In spite of the flaws, it's fun to watch. CR
Paladin Wolf
I like the other shows on OLN but will drop the channel if Cowboys is not on it. That was the reason we pay the extra money.
Ken K
If they drop "Cowboys" I'll drop the outdoor channel. Gee I only subscribed to the Outdoor channel because of the Cowboys!!! And I am grateful to Midway for sponsoring it, but after the regular commercials they come back to a Midway infomercial as well. I don't think we get more than 10 minutes of actual Cowboys!!!!!!!! $4.95 a month for 40 minutes total if not a good deal. I have been laid off at work so I guess the Outdoor channel goes!!! Our cable bill is over the top already!!! KK

Ken K
Agree, watch each week, even the re-runs. I love the show. It is the only show I have programmed to start automatically, and my wife even watches it with me!!!!! Sure will miss it. I think they are making a mistake. Give it a chance & promote it more. I would like to see an hour of it!!! Thanks for the info. KK

In my area you have to get a package of channels to get it which is an additional $30.00. As a result I have never seen a single show of The Cowboys, with the exception of clips on CAS City. Roy Same for me. I can't just get the Outdoor channel. I have to upgrade to a premium package which will cost an extra $15 per month. I was going to do it, but now I'll wait to see if the show will be continued or not before upgrading.
Edward R S Canby, SASS#59971
I've enjoyed the Cowboys series a great deal. Many of the local shooters and people I've shot with were featured. I even saw myself on two shows. Michael Bane is a gracious host. He does not air the blunders of shooters or show them in a poor light in contrast to another show that has filmed EOT and features blunders. I've come to value Evil Roy's teaching segments the most. If the series ends I'll still watch the other shows on Wednesday night. I'm a certifiable gun nut and enjoy the other gun shows the Outdoor Channel airs. However, Cowboys is the show I watch twice in one evening.
Grizzly Dave
Cowboys is the reason I upgraded to the cable package that includes the outdoor channel. Another way to support Cowboys is to vote for it as fan favorite on the Outdoor Channel VOTE HERE I think the voting only goes until the end of the year, so vote now. It does require you to put in name and address, which normally puts me off such things, but in this case I made an exception, and hope you will as well. Barterin Bill
I agree about promoting it more. I had Outdoor channel and didn't know about Cowboys until a couple of months ago. I rushed home last night to watch only to see it wasn't on. About the package deals, We have cable and internet with the cable company. Every time our contract is up my wife calls and asks about specials. Says we will have to drop all the extras. We usually end up getting a premiun package for a lot less than they advertise. Lone Dog, SASS #20401
Somebody said thanks for the info. What info? We have NO info. Only the uneasy queasy suspicion that our favorite show is about to ride into the sunset. The decision has already been made by the bean counters. It's too late to vote or show our support. All we can do is wait for the word and wonder. I find the silence solemn and ominous.... Hopefully our fears are unfounded and Tupe and ER will be ridin' the trail in the upcoming season...keep a good thought. Hopefully Mike will advise soon and not keep us all twistin' in the wind. Henry T Harrison
Cowboys hasn’t been my favorite of the shows on the Outdoor Channel since Tequila left. I have never warmed up to Elvis, but I would hate to see it go it isn’t a bad program. I'm sure Ron is a great guy, but not my style

Rube Burrows
I did like it better with Teqilla but overall I just like the show. I love being able to watch about the sport and see the guns I love to see. I hope they bring it back. I will be sending in my comments. I have Cowboys set on the DVR and when I do miss it I go back and watch it.
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770
Having never met Tupolo Flash or Evil Roy, I don't have anything in particular against them. I have, though, never understood why ER is looked at as the Face of Cowboy shooting. The only thing I will say, is that the show seemed to be more popular with Tequila. Maybe there's a hint in there somewhere.
Poppy
I agree witht he comment about only having about 10 minutes of actual cowboy shooting, but was still worth watching. It was nice to have a little variety beside shows on defense and AR-15's. Lets pray for a comback in 2012 or late in 2011
Missouri Ruffian, SASS #70225
They should either cancel the show or come up with a better format. As it is now its one of the most boring shows on. They should cover major shoots and follow top shooters. They have episodes on major shoots but show very little shooting. Guest diablo slim shootist
Hate to see it canceled-but it needs an up date IMHO how about more gun handing Tips, something about about new products coming up,something about stage writing, a spot about different clubs and what to expect if you go there to shoot. or something about different shooting styles and classifications. Im not knocking the show- its the first time a lot of new shooters are exposed to CAS . but it could be much more informative.Diablo Slim
Dungannon Gunner
I refuse to give those cable crooks anymore than I have too. It's highway robbery without a gun.
