Adirondack Jack, SASS #53440
I'd be tempted to do the prep work then have it powder coated.
Chickasaw Bill SASS #70001
Sir I have used both . I perfer Aluma-Hyde . It is easer to use and last longer than Alu. Black unless you put a finish over the Alu. black . JMO CB
twelve mile REB
A magic marker and Super Black as made by Birchwood Casey as touchup for aluminum have a lot in common except the Magic Marker is much more effective. I would have it coated.

Wasatch Lawman
Satin or semi gloss black spray paint, any of the high quality brands. Goes on smooth and is a lot more durable than you would think.
Chili Ron
A friend of mine carried a single six in the toolbox on his tractor for years. He retired and sold that 22 to another friend, he sent this miserable lookin single six to Ruger. It came back lookin NEW. Might at least git rugers price..... James Henry Parker SASS#76661
Thanks for the replys.I think i'll give Ruger a call and see what they get. The gun had waves cut into the metal with a Dremel tool. But so for it's coming out smooth. Lot of work but starting to look right Going to take the instructions off the barrel while i'm at it .
