Saving a Ruger

Redoing a Ruger New Model Single Six that some one took a disc sander to .

What is the best stuff from Brownell's to finish the aluminum grip frame with?

They show two Aluminum Black or Aluma-Hyde any one used this stuff?

A magic marker and Super Black as made by Birchwood Casey as touchup for aluminum have a lot in common except the Magic Marker is much more effective. I would have it coated.

Allen Horton from Houston is the man to talk to on this. He has done a few of mine and i cannot tell it is a refinish. Great Man and knows his stuff.

A friend of mine carried a single six in the toolbox on his tractor for years.

He retired and sold that 22 to another friend, he sent this miserable lookin single six to

Ruger. It came back lookin NEW.

Might at least git rugers price.....

Thanks for the replys.I think i'll give Ruger a call and see what they get.

The gun had waves cut into the metal with a Dremel tool. But so for it's coming out smooth. Lot of work but starting to look right Going to take the instructions off the barrel while i'm at it .
