QUOTE

I have not made it to a Bally's yet... I want an indoor track and weights, I will call one close by.. If I join I will take photos of the inside and send them to you.. lol

My goals for next year are..

1. Look for a different place to live... not use to apartments, so buy a home or rent a home or duplex... I love the people here, but Rat Dog needs a yard and I need privacy of a yard too. And I could use a place to reload in case my reload partner finds a girl, or gets tired of my silliness.. lol

Cool.... loose ends are boring..

2 Be a better person by getting out there an joining up in my community. I do like to talk and socialize and clubs are the best places to do that.

QUOTE

I have always been in clubs, except for a few years recently I had to cut back. I started back up in MO, and it fills up my night time spaces very well.

3. make more SASS friends and buy more guns.. lol..

YEA. more guns and time ta play with them...

More guns, more ammo, more leather= more fun...

So.. what are yours.. and I need to go clean my pistols and shotgun now.. back later..

I'm going to do the same next year as I did this year, shoot alot, maybe do more practiceing, otherwise not much, right now I'm coop up inside because of cold weather and snow, hate cold weather, or should I say my lungs don't. So I stay inside and watch TV, view the SASS wire and look at all your posts Deja, do go out once in awhile when I have to but try not to, can't wait for the 90's again, I feel so good then, these old bones just can't take the cold anymore, since I went past 40 it's been downhill since then, if I could afford it I would buy a trailer and head to AZ or TX for the winter.

All for now JD Trampas

ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL of my posts JD's??? gosh you sound like I post a lot? lol I hope the weather passes fast for you... Maybe you could rent a place for the summers in tombstone or Bisbee or Sierra Vista?? they have some pretty cheap rentals out there right now.

Lose another 35 pounds. (I'm down a net of 25 since August.)

Finish two of the three books I'm working on now... all three would be better... and get them to the market by October 1st.

Finish this never ending effort to remodel my house. Four and a half years is damn well long enough. Up to my neck in painters yesterday and today, fella coming to do cabinet work tomorrow. He'd better be done by FridayPM or he's likely to get decorated right along with the tree. Carpet comes after New Years Day and then we're done until next year. So far about the only thing we haven't changed is the address.

and plans for next year?

I hope by the end of the year to have a Gym membership.. lol.. Everytime I schedule an appointment I end up working late.. lol.. I have been to one so far.. So, by the end of the year I will be a member one way or the other, and into a routine again to keep my muscle tone.

Forty Rod,

Whatever you do man, DON'T DO THE KITCHEN!!

Everybody I know who remodeled the house got a divorce right after finishing the kitchen.

Too late.

Removed four trees, two large yucca, two gigantic organ pipe cctus, lots of smaller cactus, and 70 feet of lantana.

Replaced the sprinkler system all around the house and upgraded the timer.

Sodded the front yard and seeded the back and south side yards.

Planted one new tree and ten roses and shrubs.

Tore out and replaced everything in the kitchen and dining room.

Had the windows and doors replaced with new energy efficient ones,

Put on a new roof.

Had the exterior texture coated and repainted.

Replaced the furnace, air conditioner, and water heater.

Recovered and tiled the patio floor.

Laid a second patio for the hot tub and put an enclosure over it.

Built retaining wall / flower bed across the back yard.

Refaced the fireplace.

Laid concrete around the house and across the front including a new front porch.

Re-roofed the whole house.

Build shelving, added lights, and put in work benches in the garage.

Remodeled the den with built in shelving, wood panelling, and replaced 1977 Harvest Gold shag carpeting with sheet vinyl.

Partially remodeled a bedroom into a room for my wife's exercise stuff and her collection of Asian things we got overseas.

Had the living room and hallways painted today and will have new base boards and crown mouldings and other stuff. installed in the next two days.

Added roll-away screens to the french doors.

(None of this is in chronological order.)

All of this since I retired not quite 6 years ago.

Have two bedrooms and two bathrooms left to go and still have to replace all the doors in the house. I did some of this work myself and had some done. So far we've spent more on the remodel than the house cost us in the first place.

I want to become a Friar,. that way I can wear one of those cool brown robes, get fat and sit around all day and drink ale while gnawing on a turkey leg.

When some one says something funny I could place my hands on my hips, put my head back and let loose with a big laugh

yes that would be cool

Well, there is one thing. I'd like to get rid of enough arthritis to make an F chord again without string buzz. Is that a goal or just write that one off?

Lastly, I hope to ignore my wife's perpetual proclivity toward emulating anything and everything depicted on HGTV.

Ever tryed playin a steel git-tar ?

How bout a Dobrow git-tar ? Dey both sound great !!!!

Still working on the black belt in Smartass I see. :)

Forty Rod, what did you do in your spare time?? :P

Spare what? Y'know, I'm not sure where I found time to hold down a job before I retired. I'm up at 7:00 or earlier every morning, almost never go to bed before 11:00 or midnight, and have NOWHERE I have to be most days, NOTHING that must be done, NO ONE to report to, and never have enough time.

Someone recently told me he doesn't wear watches and doesn't look at clocks anymore. All he needs to know is when he gets the paper in the morning, if it's a BIG paper he shaves, put on his best clothes and goes to church. That's the closest to a time piece he has or needs.

I would love to have a good and happy year. the last few have not been very kind to the family around us. Started with my Brother in law having a stroke. Just seemed to go on from there.

I ain't complaining, Just looking for and up beat. Guess it comes with the years.

Merry Christmas to one and all.

Russ that doesn't want to change his name to Grumpy Dog.

It is hard watching our families age. My dad is 91 and I am blessed every year that I still have him. My sister had a stroke at age 60, she is doing an amazing reoovery... We have different mothers, and on her moms side they had strokes very young.. But she is still thankful every year to celebrate a new year too. We talk alot, she is so funny to this day , nothing stops her, so I can hardly complain if she is so darn tough.. I wish you and your family the very best this year and forever.. Deja..

Rotary Cuff fixed last week.

jan 3 rd. new pacemaker

and then a cyist removed from one of my unmetinables.

In no particular order:

1. Finally finish my gun cart. It was a hasty job one weekend when I first started CAS, and I still need to tweek it a bit, then sand, stain, rout my name on the seat box lid, and shellac it.

2. Continue selling collectables I'm no longer interested in on ebay to raise more gun money.

3. Buy more guns.

4. My doctor tells me my knees would feel a whole lot better if I lost 20 pounds. I know I gotta do that. SWMBO recently retired from teaching and is hitting the gym 3 days or more a week. Trouble is, nobody there looks like they're having fun.
