Marshal Phil DeGrave SASS #55202
I was thinkin the other day (dangerous I know) but I thought I should get some extra parts for my firearms, and the one thing I am having a hard time with is finding hand springs for my Colts. It looks like I need to purchase the entire hand to get the spring. Any thoughts or suggestions??

Driftwood Johnson, SASS #38283
Howdy I got a couple from Peacemaker Specialists a couple of years ago. Peacemaker Specialists Also, Manatee sez he makes them from Bobby Pins. Whatever you do, it is easier to replace the spring than the entire hand assembly. If you just replace the spring, you don't have to worry about fitting a new hand.
Ranger Sgt. Jake McCandless #3368
I have to agree with Driftwood Peacemaker Specialist. Got tired of replacing Uberti and Pietta hand springs only to have them break two or three years down the trail.Ended up ordering a half dozen from P. S. and haven't' had to replace a one as of yet. I also had a gun smith do Ruger coil spring conversions to at least three pistols, any time I have him work on a leaf type hand spring pistol I have him convert it. Adios Sgt. Marshal Phil DeGrave SASS #55202
Wow, that's wierd. I have been to Peacemakers web site before, many times. I never saw the hand spring for sale. Well, now I know where to get them. Thanks to everybody who responded.
