Goody, SASS #26190
Just wondering if some body can answer that for me. Picked up a Marlin 39A Mountie on Saturday dirt cheap cause it has an abomination where the buttstock should be. I asked about anyone having one on the classifieds but haven't gotten an answer. I see where I can pick up a late model one off of a 44mag, replete with the rubber butt pad for about $45. I would as soon do that as try and rebuild what is there. So will they interchange? By serial number this Mountie was born in 1959 or 1960.

Goody, SASS #26190
Well, I answered my own question. Forgot I had a crescent butted butt stock I was saving for a Marlin project. It fits the Mountie, almost, just the usual amount of sanding will be needed like all new buttstocks that are 99% finished. Thanks for all the help, ya'll have a Merry Christmas.
