Deadeye Dallas, SASS #60249
You can follow my cleaning instructions on Marauder's website for the AWA, skip step 6. This would be for partial teardown for thorough cleaning. http://marauder.homestead.com/files/AWA_Rifles.pdf From match to match just remove wood and hold or stand vertical and spray down with CRC brake cleaner until clear. Drain or blow out. Spray lube and work action. Lightnings like a clean chamber I like to use a huge cotton swab with a little Hoppe's 9 on it, chucked in a drill, stick it in the chamber and spin up. The flexible shaft on swab lets you go at all angles. Follow with a dry clean to polish. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=44187/p...__Swab__100_Pak Dallas
John Boy
Then drip a small amount Eezox along the bolt rails and in the trigger assembly. Eezox is a lube-cleaner and rust preventive. Reason for the small amount - it dries and the coating is very thin. Don't have a firearm that doesn't go back in the safe without being wiped down and a few drops in the internals. OK, not Internet Talk ... I have 2 Rossi '92's, both have been slicked up and I can cock the finger lever with my little finger after they have been lubed with Eezox In case anyone missed my 7 months Eezox rust prevention test ... http://www.theopenrange.net/forum/index.php?topic=5457.0 Then I did a 10 month-11 days comparison test between Eezox and Fluid Film ... http://www.theopenrange.net/forum/index.php?topic=6291.0 I believe the pictures speak for them self
