Pancho Peacemaker
Looking for a place to buy older S &W parts. anyone know.tried all of the ones that comeup when you google If you are talking pre-1900 S&W, look up: Bill Smith "The Smith Shop". I believe he is retired from gunsmithing, but the shop is still running. In his day, he did fantastic work on old Smiths. I'll be he has some parts. http://www.thesmithshop.com/aboutus.html also David Chicoine http://www.oldwestgunsmith.com/gunparts/swhome.htm

Captain Woodrow Cahill, SASS # 54363
This what you need? http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=323/Pro...SIGHT_BLADE_KIT Or one of these? http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=9128/Pr...VER_REAR_SIGHTS http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=22514/P...REAR_SIGHT_KITS I recently needed some parts for my S&W 457 and found that Brownells is the one-stop shop for just about everything. Driftwood Johnson, SASS #38283
Howdy A 28-2? I thought you were talking about something old. Why not just call up S&W? That sight is probably common to many N frame guns. I'll bet Smith has lots of them in stock for repairs.
Pit Bull Tex
I called S & W said they have not had them in years. I call a guy S & W gave me and he did not have one.The Millett might fit but it is listed for a post 94.
Driftwood Johnson, SASS #38283
OK. I see that although Model 28 production ended in 1986, apparently Smith changed the design of the rear sight of the Model 29-6 in 1994. So that must be what Brownells is talking about with those rear sights as being for post 94 guns. Dunno exactly what changed. I just checked Numrich and it looks like they are out of rear sights for your 28-2. Care to be specific about what you need? Do you need the whole sight? Or maybe just part? If you can be specific I would be happy to post a question for you on the S&W Forum. I hang out there a lot. I have my own 28-2 in front of me in case there is anything I can help you with.
