Four-Eyed Buck,SASS #14795
Yep, comes in many styles. Here, I use ground beef or turkey, large can of crushed 'maters, large can of diced maters, large can of Brooks Chili mild beans, can of pintos, chopped onion, and some garlic to make it interestin'. womanfolk here don't like real hot stuff, so I use the mild. Makes a good sized pot, and don't last long. Usually simmer it down for a half day, like it more con carne. Some cheddar and sour creme for garnish if they wish, plus soda crackers or oyster crackers. Makes for a fine meal............Buck

Carroll Shelby's was a close second. http://www.luzianne.com/wick-fowler-m-121.html http://www.luzianne.com/carrol-shelby-m-120.html Be sure to have some sliced onions and some saltines to go with it! And please, NO BEANS!
grubstake charlie
Chili Con Carne has been my standard breakfast for years (yes I said breakfast). I have a bowl in front of me as I type this recipe. I make a large pot every 10 days or so and it gets used for different things (my wife likes Huevos Rancheros for example). Everyone gets upset if I don’t have a new batch going before the old batch runs out. Ingredients vary some (based on what I have on hand) but the basic recipe is 5 lbs browned ground turkey (seasoned during cooking with ground pepper, red chili powder, and garlic powder) 2 cans diced tomatoes 10# can ranch beans 2 cans kidney beans crushed garlic (lots) chopped onion (generally a whole mild white onion) onion powder garlic powder paprika (adds a smoky flavor) red chili powder cilantro salt After browning the meat, combine everything and simmer slowly for several hours. To serve sometimes I add fresh chopped onion, a little sharp cheddar cheese, or even a few drops of vinegar. For quick Huevos Rancheros just spread hot on a flour tortilla and add your eggs (over easy) and some shredded cheese.
