Wildcat Carole Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Me and Okie are going to be a divided household tomorrow. I got to go with Auburn since my niece Anna is a sophomore there. WAR EAGLE. I love BAMA all the other games. Quote

Wildcat Carole Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Cud get serious If it does, could Okie come sleep with Cap'n Jack? Quote
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Well, that is fine with me, Wildcat, but he is gonna have to clear it with Jack. Momma washed his blanket today and he has his wool blanket on his bed, soooooooo Okie may have some trouble with that. Jack is a sharing, caring kinda guy, but when it comes to his bones and his bed, well....let us just say he needs some counseling. Quote
Flint McCloud 3103L Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Sorry Wildcat... I have to side with The Tide...!!! They have been looking good and they have a LOT to prove right now... Auburn will have their hands full... ROLL TIDE...!!! Vaya con Dios Quote
Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381 Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 The Aggies are hot. Texas is going down tomorrow. Quote
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Flinty is wrong, Okie is right for a change. I am with Wildcat on the Auburn/Bama thingy, if for no other reason than to make 'Bama Red and J Mark Flint come out guns blazing. Quote
Willie Wheelgun Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Badger, I would side with my sweetie Wildcat any day of the week, but I would be real careful about slapping Bama Red and J Mark Flint with your flimsy gountlet. These boys is meaner than a two headed rattler. Quote
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Yeah, but they is on the "OTHER" side of the river. Quote

Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Well, there is that. But bring your little RED snow shovel if you come to visit. Is 'Bama something like a RED TIDE? Quote
Yellowhouse Sam # 25171 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Aggies will make fajeeters out of Beevo. Eagles will have elephant steaks. Quote
Willie Wheelgun Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Badger, I think you need to live in Puget Sound country to know what Red Tide is. Not sure they have them anywhere else. Quote
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 (edited) I thunk Sam is keeeeeerect! I believe they do, Willie. Not sure about Oklahoma tho. I'm going nuts here, waiting for the kick off. Edited November 25, 2010 by Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Quote
Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381 Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 (edited) Detroit of all teams is making a game of it against the Pats. I thought NE would blow them away. Edit: Spoke too soon -- NE has gone crazy in the fourth. Edited November 25, 2010 by Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381 Quote
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 I think Detroit has some kind of death wish on Thanksgiving day. I can not recall them ever winning on Turkey day. My Uncle and myself would go to watch them in Tiger Stadium and freeze our butts off. Vince Lombardi would blow into town with his frozen tundra Packers and clean the Lion's clock. John and myself would sit there like two frozen turkeys and then when the game was over, my Aunt would have a nice hot dinner for us. Those were the days. Quote
Barterin Bill Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Ain't nuttin needs to be said. The Vegas guys got right. Bama by 4. Roll Tide Quote
SKEET SHOOTER, SASS #42346 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) Ok! I Roll with the Tide. I can't wait to take one of those Auburn T-Shirts that say 2010 national Champs (Trust me they are out there.) and stamp a gaint VOID across the front. Final score Bama 42, War Chickens 35. Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) Ahhhhhh, maybe next year, fellows. It is going to be interesting with the three other top four teams being undefeated. But after today, I would say that Auburn has a lock on the national championship shot. Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381 Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss the Gamecocks. Strange things happen in the SEC. Let's hope Auburn doesn't end up forfeiting everything. Impressive as Newton's numbers are matters little when compared to the controversy surrounding how Newton got to Auburn. Multiple published reports indicate that Newton's father, Cecil, outlined a pay-for-play plan for recruiters from Mississippi State when his son was transferring from junior college last fall. Add in that Cam Newton left his first university, Florida, under shady circumstances (an arrest for possessing a stolen laptop as well as other accounts of academic fraud) and the stereotype of a lawless SEC school doing anything to win a football game is reinforced. I understand the FBI and the NCAA is investigating. Quote
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 So true, Okie. The roosters could upset the apple cart big time. I am wondering about Oregon. The last game with California, an admitted middle of the pack team, almost plucked their tail feathers. Oregon State could try to do so also. I am sure that if they upset Oregon, it would go a long way in improving State's season. TCU looks like a coast for the rest of the season, but Boise State has a big game coming up this week. Quote

Willie Wheelgun Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Orygun appears to be handling the Wildcats early in the fourth. Quote
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Well now this loss by Boise State may affect the hunt for the Heisman. Last night, I have to say, did not do a lot for Kellen Moore. The front defense line for Nevada was all over him. I think that Nevada just out played them during most of the game. Nevada seemed to be able to move the ball, as evidenced by the score, and BS had to work for each score. Great game. Quote
Smuteye John SASS#24774 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss the Gamecocks. Strange things happen in the SEC. Heck, I am more worried about Auburn facing The Great Satan and SC- again- than I was about the Iron Bowl. Worrying about the Alabama-Auburn game is an exercise in futility. What's gonna happen will happen and, as you saw, there just ain't no predicting how it will turn out. This is THE game for both schools. As a coach for either school, you can have winning records overall (say an 8-4 or better average) but consistently lose the Iron Bowl and find yourself in the unemployment line. Check with some of the former Alabama head coaches about this. The only reason the 'powers that be' at Auburn (AKA the Lowder faction of the Board of Trustees) couldn't get rid of Tommy Tubberville any faster than they did was the facts that he kept beating 'Bama AND he had so many seasons with a high winning percentage. They never wanted him to be head coach. They wanted Bill Oliver to get the nod and were actively trying to get rid of him before he ever unpacked his bags. But he kept beating Alabama (like he did the week after they tried to hire Bobby Petrino away from Louisville to replace him), so there wasn't much they could do to get rid of him until Auburn hit a down point in the cycle and had a very unpopular offense in place. The SEC Championship worries me more because: 1.Spurrier has faced Auburn once already so he's seen the offense and defense react to his playbook 2.He's got 12 games worth of film to watch and plenty of time to pour over it as his acolytes sacrifice animals and small children on an altar in his office. I have no doubt that the SC team is capable as any in the nation but what worries me is the game plan he's cooking up. Spurrier is better than ANYBODY in the college world at getting inside the opposition's head and predicting what they are gonna do. Look back at the Bama-SC game. It was like he was inside the huddle at times. If it was baseball, I'd think he was stealing signals. Quote
