Maybe he should have left them alone instead of eating crow now. Smoging a diesel and weight fees are why I went back to gas and to a half ton. The tests are highly objective based largely on visual perception. If your turbo is a little slow spooling up, then the stab test will fail you no matter how clean your engine runs. The boys that use chips simply pull them out for the test then put'm right back in when they are done. The smog tests do nothing but put more fees on the owners and $ in the state coffers. Death and taxes are the two things in life that are guaranteed. I'll take the taxes for now. I do have an interesting take on the other but will save it for the GFBJL. I guess I an no longer dependent on your taxes as I am no longer employed by the state........for now, maybe later, again. Any one had any good scotch lately? Now he wants to take our vacation time because the furloughs (that have to be burned first) are causing the leave banks to get too high. Oh, and all the folks who are exempt from furloughs because they agreed to a contract. If there is no authority to spend money without a budget, how does anyone get paid?
