Ned Buckshot, SASS #2901 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Rick is a very good friend of mine, he spends alot of time over in CAS City leather shop mostly. Hagglin' wheelin and dealin and being his same old goofy self! Just heard they are scheduling him for hip replacement in the near future, hope he gets some relief. Ned
Guest TUSAC JACK #4129 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 As the topic states. RR Gun Click Rick has the spirit of the eagle, and just like the eagle, he was chased from his natural, happy, habitat by so called "progress".
Guest Texas Jack Black Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Gun Click Rick has the spirit of the eagle, and just like the eagle, he was chased from his natural, happy, habitat by so called "progress". Well said Many of the ones who helped start and grow this game feel the same. Just like most feel that the country is going in the wrong direction some feel SASS is heading down the wrong path.and it it time to step back and put their time into building some of the other shooting games.
Fillmore Coffins, SASS #7884 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Out of the blue I got a PM from him last week thru the Wire. It brought light to my day when I got it. Thanks Rick. Fillmore
Dalton Masterson, SASS #51139 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Yep, CASCity Leather Shop is his saloon of choice now! Leather Shop DM
Dusty Morningwood Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Rick is a stand-up Pard who got tired of being chewed up by the predatory hyenas on the Wire (You know who you are!) . But he is happy as a clam and prospering over on CAS City.
Howdy Doody Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 and what happened to Bubbles? What happened to a lot of others? It is a shame that some folks have to give grief to others. It is just so easy to block posts from those that you don't want to read or just skip over them, but some of us just don't get it and take real pleasure in driving folks from our cowboy website. Too bad.
Allie Mo, SASS No. 25217 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Rick, If you're reading this. I enjoyed your presence on the Wire. Hope you are having fun and pull through the hip replacement good as new! Regards, Allie Mo

Too bad. +1, Howdy, Rick found a better place for him over there, tired of dealing with "stuff" from certain people here. Good to hear about the hip replacement, I saw him in Visalia over a year ago and he was having a lot of pain getting around then. I know he peeks in here to check stuff out, Happy New Year, Rick!
Howdy Doody Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 MDJ Dammit, GCR is a genuine pard. Some folks don't get his humor. I want to point out that he has a big heart though. A few years or more ago, he drove himself down to a shoot I was at. He came especially to bring items for Calgary Kate to send to the troops. That was very cowboy of him. At the same time, he knew I was going to be there too and brought me some Howdy trivia that he had found in his travels of antique stores and thrift shops. Also totally cowboy. I don't forget such things, ever. Fortunately someone got a picture of us. Unfortunately he was in such pain he could not stay and was worried about being able to drive back home before he seized and could only stay for a short while. I really wanted a picture of him shooting some Doodymite loads and smoking up the place. http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL1945/1278...2/380869728.jpg

Guest Hell-Bent Wade 18285 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 In this case "Ignore"-ance is bliss! What was it someone said during the COS debate? "This was so much more fun before I knew anything!"

Oddnews SASS# 24779 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Speaking for yourself.... And others.
Ned Buckshot, SASS #2901 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Ya'll are doing just what most of you are complaining about! Jumpin on a post for their own agenda. What happened to the title of this thread; What ever became of Gun Click Rick! Now I can stop bitin' my tounge Ned
Ned Buckshot, SASS #2901 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Such fine friendly folk in these parts! Makes me proud to belong to such a group! Ned
Guest Hell-Bent Wade 18285 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I love my wife. I love my kids! I love my horses! I love my dog! But I ADORE the IGNORE feature!
Guest Dusty Feller, SASS #20010L Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Hey folks, let it go as it simply isn't worth it! We all have our axes to grind and, sometimes, it is hard not to!
Anvil Al #59168 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I love my wife. I love my kids! I love my horses! I love my dog! But I ADORE the IGNORE feature! Could that be why they refused you water???? Just a thought.

B. T. Blade, SASS #35685Life Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Years ago I used to post on the SASS Wire quite regularly. This thread is a very good example of why I now tend to keep my opinions to myself (most times!). Sad, particularly when I think of the fact that most SASS folks you meet in person...........you just can't help but like! I guess you just have to chalk it up to the "internet age" and the realization that some folks behave quite differently when posting on a message board or forum. I'll take discussin' things in person over a campfire with a good libation anytime. Just my .02 centavos.
Guest Paniolo Cowboy SASS #75875 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 SIGH! Regards, Allie "biting her tongue" Mo Miss Allie Darl'n, Is it just me or does it seem like folks on here are just angry these days? I've come back to the Wire after being gone for a few months, and it seems that a lot of folks on here have become just a bunch of angry old pharts. Hugs, Your Pard

Curley Cole, SASS #56849 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Damn, this thread started out nice and friendly, then it started to wander to other subjects, and then it ended up just plain UGLY. I was sitting here readin and bitin my tongue along with a couple of others and then decided why??? Some others...ya know like the ones that question other folks friendships etc...they/he just have to take it some other place and make it their ball game (and they dare to complain about Ricky takin HIS ball and leavin.) Well, just look at some of the good folk you DON'T see here on the wire anymore...IS it any wonder?? The number is staggering... All some one wanted to know was how and where was Gun Click Rick??? I am proud to say I know Ricky pretty good, have sat and shared coffee in his house and call him a friend of mine. He would have been pleased at how this thread started, and very sad at how it went, but the campfire is much more pleasant at CAS-City... And to answer the question, Ricky is doing well, he hurts like hell most of the time, and it gets in the way of his enjoying life, but it does not repeat, DOES NOT dampen his spirit. Those of you that care about Rick, thank you. Those of you that only care about......OUCH! I am now biting my tongue... Rick, Old Top and I will visit ya over at CasCity... Some of us don't mind "bonding with ya, " it ain't right that some folks can just say what ever............OUCH! biting my tongue again....you know what I mean..so bye! yer pard Curley
Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Hey, Rick, if you're reading this give me a buzz and we can meet someplace for lunch and talk about the days when we knew what a REAL peeing contest was. This bunch just don't measure up when it comes to getting nasty and personal. Why, I bet we could curl their toes for 'em.
Dalton Masterson, SASS #51139 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I think you should all take it to your own post or pms, and stop interupting other peoples inquiries. But thats just me. I look at a lot of the argumentative type posts on the Wire, and there are usually the same names attributed to them. Its shameful. DM (who now should add himself to the list of names for even responding to the crap)
