Uno Mas SASS #80082 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Gonna be a long winter. The long winter seems to be gettin' an early start.
Guest Texas Jack Black Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 You were an MD for two state shoots? It's TWO....has been --was way back when you were MD and still is now. ARE YOU OK? YOR INFO IS FLAWED AGAIN Come on get it right all the spotters saw at least one silver Flying Saucer You are getting testy again try not get this topic beamed into outerspace by attacking . this is all in good fun . T J B
Guest Texas Jack Black Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 "Benefit of Doubt" does NOT mean that the opinion of ONE inattentive/incompetent spotter overrides the count of the two who happen to be paying attention. Wait a minute ,what if all three were inattentive spotters ?after all we are talkig about one who is blind one who cannot hear and one who cannot speak. Merry Christmas PWB and a Happy New Year T J B
Marshal Dan Troop 70448 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Just seeing some of the post, I agree, we need a spotters school, and only spot if you receive a diploma. Unbeliavable, but then, its the "Wire". MT
Gold Canyon Kid #43974 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Remember it is the RO/TO that counts the spotters votes not the spotters. When you see one spotter that sees one miss, another that sees two misses, and a third that sees three misses there must be some other issue(s) than education.

T J B After your recent four PM's I now stand corrected: TJB has NOT MD'ed two State shoots as he previously claimed. I have NO IDEA where he saw the Flying Saucer nor apparently do any of his attendants. And any other information that I might have thought gave him any standing whatsoever in this sport I now retract as having been horribly flawed. My apologies to the WAHR.

Cowboy Rick, SASS #49739L Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Doubt always goes to the shooter. There is no "majority votes win here". Why do you all have so much problem with that concept? IMO, ONE F****** MISS The "spotters job", IMO, is the most important responsibility of all CAS competitions, especially at the State, Regional, and National matches. Coop By extension ...... UH ...... are you a lawyer ................ from Philadelphia? ........... looking for a definition of "is"? BTW - Rule book says majority DOES rule on misses. Too close to Christmas to stir the pot this hard. CR
Madd Mike #8595 Posted December 23, 2009 Author Posted December 23, 2009 But all three were sure of at least one miss Hey glass is half empty or is it half full so what yer sayin is the count should always be the lowest number of the three counters??????? spotter 1 says clean spotter 2 says 4 spotter 3 says 4 clean it is

Arcadia Outlaw, SASS 71385 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Sometime ago at one club, there was a posse that spotters couldn't agree on misses (1,2,& 3)so TO called it clean, heard about it later. Merry Christmas AO

Merry Christmas AO Sometime ago, a TO knew that one of the spotters wasn't paying attention, 1 spotter said 1 miss, the other 2 misses. The TO asked the spotter that wasn't paying attention what his call was, the spotter that had called 2 misses was in front were he could see, so he held up 2 fingers. Best one I ever did to a spotter was one that was always looking toward my fingers to see how many misses there were. As the shooter shot, I would drop fingers in my hand, had 4 dropped fingers, indicated 4 misses. When the TO asked how many misses, his hand shot up to show 4 misses, me and the other spotter held up clenched fist to indicate a clean stage. MT

Buck D. Law, SASS #62183 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Two misses. If you disagree, the only hope is to start the educational process from the beginning. Your first assignment is to memorize your ABC's by the end of Christmas break. By the end of May, you must be able to recite them without singing.

Are you into the sauce again Where do you and Planktin come up with this BULL? Making false accusations about all who disagree with you in a feeble attempt to discredit. Your group gets together and attacks and starts an online fight with the intention of getting that topic shut down. As an example this topic has been going along smoothly then you pop up and launch the first attack and then slides in Plankin to continue the attacks how pathetic. It was also done with the article written by Tex. I do hope you attend an anger management class you sure seem to need it.

Guest Texas Jack Black Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Hi Jack, I think he was talking about this post of yours. Regards, Allie Mo Sorry, Allie, he said I was a MD and I never said that. Debate on the wire is good but the constant personnal attacks by PLANKTIN and his group on any who disagree is sad We all have our opinions and they should be heard .we may not agree with each other but why stoop so low and attack the person? This seems to be their only way to debate. I wish you well and a joyous Holiday Season. T J B

Jittery Jim Jonah, SASS #64913L Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Ya all are wrong...... The correct call is 5 misses. Because of the dispute of the number of misses each spotter is polled to identify which target was missed and when. Each spotter identified a different target, so since the spotters are all paying attention and are accurate, the BP must have obscured their vision , so the proper answer is 5. At the next stage all the spotters are rotated because they could not agree. Put in pace 3 new spotters that can't hear well, and have them face away from the firing line. They then LISTEN for misses. If they hear a miss they get a match DQ 'cuz ya cain't hear something that did not happen, and beasides they cain't hear anything so how could they hear a miss? Now everybody is happy 'cuz we all gets a clean match! It's 'new math'... Merry Christmas all.... Damn, the bottle's empty, AGAIN. JJJ -D
