On a Lawman episode this morning the judge came to town and needed jurors, because the accused's nasty gang was rumored to be coming to town so all the wimpy townspeople were scared to serve on the jury. The judge said he only needed ONE JUROR! Really?? Marshal Troop asked the judge if he could conduct a trial with only one juror.The judge said "Yes in extreme circumstances it can be done. QUESTION IS: Have you ever heard of this or is this just Hollywood? Quick note: Marshal Troop said he would draw names and pick one. He picked Lily the Birdcage saloon owner and she was the only one with enough guts to do it. Well turns out Troop and his deputy AND Lily, armed with a rifle for self defense, killed all 5 of the bad guys and they never went on with the trial. I guess they got all the jurors they needed after the gang was eradicated. (???)
