I have shot Ruger's for most of my life . I have several three screw Ruger's . The timing and feel is Just about perfect. Just over sprung a little . And that can be fixed with a hammer spring installed . Then come the New model Ruger's . As nice as they are and built like tanks . The action and timing just dont feel right and timing seems a little clunky too me. In the last couple years I started shooting Uberti Replicas . Man Oh man Uberti has the timing down to Perfection and smooth actions ! Just install a lighter hammer spring and its as good as any Colt IMHO. I have two 1860's Two 1873's Two 1871 Open Tops And One Wells Fargo . And One Original 1860 Colt . And two 1873 Colt Gen 2's And I have to say . Blind folded You cant tell the Uberti's from the Colts. I cant even shoot the NM Vaquero's any more . They feel like something in the timing to just Broken . Just sayin Rooster PS . Your mileage may vary . But mine are just too sweet !
