New Sheriffs in Town! Tejas Caballeros The Former Construction Club! In the last six years, the Cabs and the landowners built 10 elaborate Covered Stages with Boardwalks, a City Hall, an Annex, a Buffalo Camp, Restrooms, Paved roads, a Berm, and a Long Range out to 466 yards. So much work that a common joke among us, was that we were a construction club with a shooting habit! Now Open! Tejas Caballeros The Shooting Club! Things have changed. We have a new Board with new officers, including: Kincade (1st VP) Pb Buffalo (2nd VP) Rogue Heeler (Asst Range Officer) Little George (Medical Officer) Heart Stopper (Scorekeeper) Black Jack Blake (Photographer) Doc Holloman (Wild Bunch Range Officer) Our new Board made changes to concentrate on shooting. We welcome fast shooters, as well as new shooters. Recent Improvements are: We replaced old target stands with new target stands bought from Two Spurs and Dodger Targets to reduce splatter; We moved targets closer; We replaced small targets with bigger targets; For those who want a challenge, we created a Sharpshooter category with separate targets; We created a Wild Bunch match; We improved Long Range with a new course of fire out to 466 yards from12 shooting tables; We have New Shooter Classes every 3rd & 5th Saturday, to bring new shooters into the sport; Members can practice being fast throughout the month; and Dry Camping and RV Camping is available. If you haven’t shot with the Cabs recently, give us a try. Things have changed! New Sheriffs are in town! BTW, the match on Saturday, September 16, is free! There's also a free lunch. Here’s the first day of shootin’ at a LONESOME DOVE themed match put on by the Wolverton Mountain Peacekeepers out of Ariel, Washington. This episode covers the first 6 stages included story, starting line and shooting sequence! This episode also shows those stages shot by 6 different shooters, giving folks an idea of the different categories, ages and skill levels of our sport. Enjoy!

The Branson Classic, hosted by the Butterfield Trail Cowboys, will be held September 1st through the 3rd. Participants will shoot a 10 stage Cowboy Action match. There will also be side matches, warm up match, two lunch on the range, and awards. The range is between Branson and Springfield Missouri with plenty of attractions, lodging and food to choose. I have been around for a good few years now . In my home areas , No one shoots Cap and Ball guns . I am going to try shooting some cap guns this year. I bought me some Remington's because I am told they have less issues to start with . I bought a loading press for the cylinders . And I bought a extra set of cylinders . My thought is to load four cylinders at home. (Cap at the loading table .) Then sit at the unloading table to help out doing something , And load the cylinders again . This way I would only need to reload the two cylinders two times to get threw a whole game. I am looking for info from you who shoot cap guns . How have you worked out the day shooting your cap guns at a Cowboy shoot ? Thank you. Rooster . PS. I have shot Cap guns on and off for many years . So Im Not inexperienced completely lol.
