My Oticon Hearing aids are giving me problems and they just went out of warranty and they’re trying to sell me very expensive new ones. I tried out the new Audien hearing aids for about 3 weeks and features were compatible to the expensive Oticon at a small fraction of the price. Audien has a company in Jamaica handle their customer orientation and initial setup and our communications was a problem from the start, I can’t hear well and she had a very heavy Jamaican accent. I even had my wife try to help me understand on the speaker phone with no luck, my wife couldn’t understand her either. Anyway the biggest problem was the Bluetooth connectivity issues. I found that 15-20 times a day I’d have to re pair the hearing aids with either my iPad or iPhone. The Oticon hearing aids stay paired nearly all of the time and rarely need to be re paired for Bluetooth use. So the question is have any of you had success with Audien hearing aids? I realize the lower cost has something to do with some of the issues but I’m going to have to do something. Didn’t have much success with the Costco hearing aids. Getting to talk to a real person at Audien was also an issue. I finally got return authorization and got a refund.
