In the new quarterly Cowboy Chronical for January 2016, there's an article about a full length firing pin modification for a Uberti '73 or '66 rifle! My concern is since the bolt, and extension be sent it for modification! IF, you need to replace the firing pin in the future, is it fitted to the bolt/extension? Do you send in your parts again just for another pin? One more thing! If the designer to the modification goes belly up, or something similar, what do you do for parts now? I recon contact VTI for a new bolt, extension, pin, toggle link connector, and put it back to factory! Otherwise, I will just wait and see how this modification actually works out! The idea is sound, but not being mainstream, I'm skeptical! Has anyone actually used this modification to testify to it being the best thing since sliced bread!
