Work up your loads with caution, you have no guarantee this is truly IMR-RED.
  2. Yep, my reloading bench is very RCBS green.
  3. That's cool. Following this thread as I'd like a few as well. Prayers up for Fargo's family, we have lost too many good cowboys.
  4. I like this approach Thank you
  5. Yep, Doug Guy did all the work I had done many years ago on my 45’s and 41’s. Great guy to work with
  6. Brownells is out of stock so I ordered from Manson. Pricey Pricey. Will get my 38’s done then consider renting from 4D Rentals. On the topic of 4D Rentals, has anyone used them? If so, did you take out the $75 insurance? Thanks
  7. Going to get my pin gages out in the morning to see just how tight my 38’s measure. Had all but one of my 45’s and a few 41’s cleaned up years ago by a guy over on Ruger Forum. Never checked my 38’s. Any idea where I might procure a reamer? Brownells was out of stock last I looked.
  8. Question, Ruger will ream out chamber throats for free??? Or was that just on the 39-40s?
  9. Does anyone ream cylinder throats on their 38 caliber Vaqueros?
  10. FWIW, when working up loads form my Vaquero 44-40's, Bullseye was the most accurate load, 5 rounds at 15 yards made a nice little cluster about an inch and a half.
  11. Yeppers, my very first match it was in the upper 20's, and I've shot at around 100. Welcome to Texas!!!
  12. Thanks for the responses, looks like i'll start at 3.0 and work up to 3.3. I'm out of 105's so focusing on 125, 130 and 158. Wandtng to use up some of my impulse buy bullets and settle in on one bullet weight and design. Regards, Red Oak
  13. I run 125gr bullets. Anyone out there running Bullseye? I’ll be out of my current powder by end of the year and have a 2 pounds of Bullseye on hand. Thinking about 3.2 to 3.5 to start with. Any thoughts?
